Our Story

It began in 1986, in a week of fasting and prayer. A young man named Victor Adeyemi saw a picture: a worldwide ministry of soul-winning and church planting. That vision never left him.

He gave his life to ministry. After earning his diploma in law in 1989, he joined Rhema Chapel International Churches in Ilorin, Nigeria, as a full-time minister. By September 1990 he was Founding Pastor of Rhema Chapel, Ibadan. For five years he led that church and planted two more in the city.

Then the Holy Spirit called him to something new.

In 1995, with his wife, Pastor Jumoke Adeyemi (Mama), at his side, Reverend Victor started Global Harvest Church in the Banquet Hall of Premier Hotel, Ibadan. Within three months, the impact was undeniable. Families were being built. Lives were being saved. Within six months the room could no longer hold the people, and they moved. Then they moved again. By 1998, they had their permanent home in Ibadan.

Today, that vision from 1986 is coming to pass. Global Harvest Church is a growing community, with a presence across Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, shaping lives to live like Christ.

Where Every Story Finds a Home
